After Nora leaves Torvald and the children, she finally evades the life that she was living.  Her capricious character switched in an instant once she noticed how incompetent Torvald's love was towards Nora.  Nora was going back to her home to find herself and become an independent woman.  She even states that she wants to be unperturbed from her family.  Once Nora left Torvald finally realized the blunder he made.  It was treating Nora as if a doll that would do what he wanted, in the end Nora came to her senses and lived a independent and strong life.

      After reading Act II we see that the characters romantic levels have increased.  In my opinion I find it kind of unbearable yet confusing seeing all these characters confess their love for one another.  We see that Krogstad had a thing for Mrs. Linde in the past.  We also see some very intimate chat between Nora and Dr. Rank.  For example when Nora was dancing her Tarantella we see in the play that Dr. Rank is also paying close attention to Nora as much as Helmer is.

      I am very interested to see where all this commotion ends up.  Will Nora end up with Dr. Rank or will she stay with Helmer?  It is said at the end of act 2 that Nora wanted to commit suicide.  Due to her lies giving her a disreputable past.  I am very curios as to who will end up with who and what will happen to Nora and her will to die.  What do you think will happen to Nora based on her wrong doings and death wish?

      All the characters in "A Doll's House" by Henrik Ibsen seems very distinguished.  Each of them have a certain personality that is very hard to miss.  Krogstad is a shady, mischievous, corrupted person. He black mails Nora just to get the job position.  Nora has a sort of frivolous personality in my opinion.  She has even lied multiple times to Torvald which is absolutely degenerating to Nora's good side.  Torvald is a mix of proper attitude, yet refers to Nora as a skylark or squirrel, as if ravishing. 

      Its very easy to spot out and describe all of them.  Mrs. Linde is serious and offensive at times due to Nora's good fortune.  Since the death of her husband its understandable of why she is like that.  It doesn't really help; however that Krogstad also wants the same job position.  Dr. Rank is very curious based on the story.  He seems very interested at what Nora's life is like and all her wrong doings.  All the characters seemed focus on one another. You have Krogstad interfering with Mrs. Linde and Nora's life.  Torvald is oblivious to the fact of all the lies he is walking in,  Dr. Rank is like a detective almost, and you have Nora the unpredictable, untruthful, and jittery mess. 

Hi its Garrick. What I liked most in our English class was that we were able to read so many books that have definitely lengthened my vocabulary. They have also given me a new aspect on the world and they way I view it. I also loved doing group work with all my friends and being able to communicate with them. We have read many stories about war, love, and courage through the year. It really opens my eyes to see the vast world we live in.



The author of "A Doll's House" Henrik Ibsen has had a very interesting life. What's very interesting is that his play "A Doll's House" has very much to do with his family. The mother of the family (in the play) moves away from the family to find out about herself and pursue happiness to her hearts desire. In my opinion this seems ironic compared to his mother in real life, as it has been said that she sacrificed much of her time to take care of the family. It seems that the play is a "mirrored" view of what his mother's life should have been like, or what she should have done.
